This symbol indicates products are UL listed in the United States and Canada.

The TPI products which are UL Listed are in accordance with the new UL Standard 3111 which incorporates features of the Industrial Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Standard IEC-601010-1.  These IEC safety standards are recognized worldwide.

(Note: UL-3111 is superior to the current UL Standard 1244 which will be obsolete in 2008.  TPI has adopted the improved safety benefits provided by the new UL-3111 Standard.)

IEC Installation Category Definitions

Installation Category I

Signal level, special equipment or parts of equipment, telecommunication, electronic, etc., with smaller transient overvoltages than Installation Category II.

Installation Category II

Local level, appliances, Portable equipment etc., with smaller transient overvoltages than Installation Category III.

Installation Category III

Distribution level, fixed installation with smaller transient overvoltages than Installation Category IV.
